Detailed technical differences and similarities between these plants along with Ecological Land Classification ecosite types, habitat, distribution, status (endangered, threatened, special concern, provincial and regional rank, etc.), distribution maps, confusing species which may be easily misidentified - eg. Crooked-stem Aster (Symphyotrichum prenanthoides) vs. Purple-stemmed Aster (Symphyotrichum puniceum), spring, summer, fall and winter photos of leaves, flowers, involucre bracts, disk florets as well as seasonal flowering dates.
